BUCKY HEARD
COMPOSER & LYRICIST
Bucky Heard, an Alabama native and Auburn University alumni (BFA, Theatre Performance), has numerous national theatrical credits and his reputation as a “gutsy rock and roll singer with incredible vocal range”, has garnered critical praise in such reputable publications as The Washington Post and USA Today. He has shared the concert stage with some of the greats including Andy Williams, Glen Campbell, The Beach Boys (with Mike Love), The Temptations (with Otis Williams), Tony Orlando, Paul Shaffer, Michael McDonald, Jonathan Cain (Journey), and BB King.
Other creative endeavors include Rock U Mentally, an original children’s musical (writer/producer), which ran for two seasons at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theatre in Branson, MO, and his indie feature film, The Forecast (writer/producer/director/actor).
Off the stage, he has developed and created his own vocal method, PREP Vocals, which implements breathing techniques and intense vocal exercises to maximize pitch, range, endurance and power. His instruction is sought out by beginners and professionals from all over the world.
In 2016, Heard joined forces with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame icon, Bill Medley, in the newly reformed Righteous Brothers and they have been performing to sold out crowds in their residency shows in Las Vegas (Harrah’s / South Point Hotel & Casino) and touring major venues all over the country.
